Serve in the City
Mission Teams are an integral part of Graffiti being able to help love, serve the unserved, and invite the uninvited. We strive to create long-lasting relationships with teams who come year after year to influence hearts for Christ in the Metro New York City area. There are a variety of ways to utilize your God-given gifts through our programs and ministry centers.
With over 45 years experience in inner-city ministry we have developed guidelines to make sure that both the team and Graffiti have a safe and productive relationship. Please contact our missions director if you would like to bring a mission team of any size to serve at Graffiti and please keep in mind that covid-19 guidelines for NYC are subject to change.
We recommend all team members be 18 years of age or older. If you would like to bring minors on your team, please discuss with Graffiti staff before coordinating your mission team. This includes if you want to bring your own children, as we are not able to provide child care during your mission trip.
There must be at least one adult over the age of 25 accompanying the team. We also ask that you have a ratio of one adult for every two minors on your team.
Currently as of 2022, we are suggesting mission teams consists of 8 people total. It is difficult for us to accommodate groups over 8 people except at special pre-coordinated events.
Graffiti cannot guarantee or set up travel or housing. We can refer you to Baptist housing options but are unable to guarantee they will be able to accommodate you. To best estimate private accommodations for your team please access Trip Adviser, Airbnb or other travel websites. We cannot personally recommend any private facilities and ask that you utilize user reviews for that establishment to make the best decision for your situation.
