The Devil’s Turf

However we express it, we all know deep down that there are some things in life that we will need to resist.  We have a fight of faith in life, not a fight against people or circumstances, but a fight for faith through those challenges.

Anxiety is the devil’s turf.  It grinds us down, like having the spiritual flu all the time.

David didn’t want us to have it.  “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you.”

Jesus did not want us to have it.  “Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink”

Paul did not want us to have it.  “Do not be anxious about anything.”

Peter did not want us to have it.  “Cast your anxiety on the Lord, for he cares for you.”

Anxiety is where the Accuser wants us to reside.  We are not ignorant of his designs in this respect, and we refuse to be dragged into it.  Naturalists will tell you that a lion can beat a crocodile, unless the lion goes into the water…
